The Leopard

This painting is based on a photograph taken by my father-in-law in Botswana. This Leopard had just finished dragging an impala up into this tree to be consumed at her leisure and in safety. She now lies down to relax after the hunt.

The biblical verse in this painting is:

????? ?? ???? ???? ??? ?? ???? ??? ???? ??? ???? ?????? ???? ????? ???? ???? ??????

Yehuda ben Teima said to be bold as a leopard, lite as an eagle, swift as a deer, and mighty as a lion to do the will of your Father in heaven.

(Ethics of our fathers?5:20)
