Butterfly and Barbed Wire 1

Oil on canvas (original dimensions: 16”x20” each)

Sometimes we need to be set free. Sometimes it’s our own untruths that need to be released. Letting go, of whatever is holding us back. Flying away, free at last! This diptych is meant to be seen side by side. Once entangled born into slavery, struggle, release, and let go!

The pasuk in this painting is:

“ונודה לך שיר חדש על גאלתנו ועל פדות נפשנו”

“Then we will sing a new song of praise to You for saving us!

Soon this difficult time will be behind us and we too will sing a New song!” (from the Passover Haggadah)
